beauty is only skin deep

is just plain bullsh*t!

seriously, possessing the beauty (which is subjective, by the way), is your ticket to further interaction and all... and in case you're wondering what I'm talking about, I'm referring to electronic gadgets/appliances :P

i seriously think that any companies that sell electronic gadgets (e.g. digi cam, laptops, mp3 players, mobile phones, even vacuum cleaners) should take into consideration the growing female market. as shallow and bimbotic as it may sound, i think a lot of girls, myself included, would rather buy something in their favourite colours (e.g. pink and purple) if they had a choice. i'm the sort of bimbo who'd pay $100 more for something in pink (and pls, only hot pink or sweet baby pink ok, no fugly bandung pink for me hor), instead of settling for ugly black or silver (which is only fares a little better than black) gadgets. Electric blue is cool too, but i'd usually go for pink :P And sometimes it's actually the colour of the toy that attracted me more than anything else... and it actually gives me 1 more reason to buy that particular something that i would otherwise not consider... haha...

but having said that, i wouldn't buy LG phones even if they're in the prettiest shades of pink. tried and tested - lousy gadget (in my opinion - so cannot sue me for defamation)! blah~ wondering why nokia seldom have pink stuff :( i LOVE nokia's user-friendly interface, but usually their designs are so boringgggg... sighs..

I don't really like that dark red on my phone... but i dunno what else to do with it. i could probably gmask it and bling it up like how xiaxue does her phone, but 1) gmask costs quite a bit 2) i don't think i have a flair in blinging my stuff 3) i'm usually quite rough with my phone, so the blings might fall off very soon.

Actually i know there're actually stuff that boast both beauty and brains - such as sony's products - i love their hot pink mini laptop (it's a netbook i think), but it's a little ex for something of that specs... so i settled for an acer (which is also pink, but the machine's a tad too slow for my liking).

And while I'm on the topic of beauty VS brain, I think most ppl would love to have their significant other possess both of these right.. haha.. i guess on a scale of 1 - 10, i'd want a 7 for beauty (too shuai later kena snatched by other girls!) and 8 for brains (must be relatively smart, not an airhead, but not too smart coz later go out and cheat on me with other girls!!!). ok i'm saying this just for fun lah!! haha.. in an ideal world, i want 10 for both - who doesn't! hahahaha... but in the real world, it's kinda impossible coz nobody's perfect, and sometimes imperfection is what makes a guy/gal so endearing... in an ideal world, the perfect partner will stay perfect and still stay faithful to you and love you with all his/her heart. but in the real world, even if such a person exists, he/she is likely to be acutely aware of his/her traits, and hence have the tendency to stray. even if he's super loyal to you, other girls will flock to him, like how u're swooning over him in the first place.. haha.. think about it logically and you'll know this is not sour-grape syndrome. it's Darwinian Evolution Theory. Survival of the fittest - we all look for mates who can produce the best quality offsprings :)
